Åsnes Nansen Waxless
The Nansen Waxless is a versatile wax-free touring ski developed for varied terrain and changing winter conditions. The ski is suitable for active skiers who want to move efficiently in mountain terrain, forests, and open expanses without having to spend time on grip waxing.
The wide construction and generous sidecut make the ski easy to turn and stable while providing excellent float in deeper snow. The steel edge offers extra control on harder surfaces and in more demanding terrain.
The Nansen Waxless features a wax-free pattern in the kick zone that provides reliable grip regardless of snow conditions. The ski is also equipped with Åsnes' Skinlock system, which allows for quick attachment of a short X-Skin climbing skin for extra grip on steeper ascents.
The model is named after the Norwegian polar explorer Fritjof Nansen (1861–1930), who in 1888 undertook the first documented ski expedition across Greenland.
